Cinco De Mayo Fiesta Brings in Over $640 for Denver 17 Veterans Committee

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta Brings in Over $640 for Denver 17 Veterans CommitteeThe Cinco De May Party held on May 5, 2012 brought in over $640 for the Denver 17 Veterans Committee.  Food sales were brisk with many tacos and tamales sold with sides of rice and beans and a dulce de leche cake for dessert.

Also on the agenda for the evening was the presentation of Past Exalted Ruler jewels to KayLeen Stadterman, who was the Exalted Ruler of Denver 17 during the 2001-2002 Elk year. We are deeply grateful for her service to our Lodge.

Also on tap for the evening was the Surprise Ambush Roast of J. Keith Suazo.  Keith is the 2011-2012 Officer of the Year.  The evening was a complete surprise for him.

It was a fun evening and big thanks goes out to everyone who helped with the evening.
